Works with the systems your companies already run
Your companies keep working in QuickBooks, their banks and their own systems. NightlyBooks reads what comes in, books it by your rules and leaves you the cases the rules don’t cover.
Each company keeps its own book and currency. The group level adds what a group needs: ownership, intercompany, eliminations and minority interest.
Every company has its own book and base currency, and the group has its own level with dashboards, reports, closing and its own menu.
Draw who owns whom and since when. Control is tested tier by tier, and a company is consolidated only for the months it is controlled.
Intercompany invoices and bills are checked against the other company’s books. One-sided items are flagged and left out of eliminations.
When one company bills another, the counterpart bill, and the receipt for a payment, is drafted in the other book and waits for your Approve.
P&L and balance sheet by company, with eliminations, minority interest and goodwill worked out, in the currency the group reports in.

Connect a source once and give it rules. After that its operations land in the right book on their own.
Every company read continuously, through Intuit’s change feed. Rules decide which document and account each operation lands on.
Statement files in CSV, Excel or PDF tables, read by a profile you set once. Bank accounts connected through Plaid show their balances and transactions right on the account.
Invoices, bills and payroll accruals arrive through an intake API, each as a document of your form: from Planfix with a button, or from any system that can send a request.
Salary accruals per company come in from payroll, with the same people and companies as in the books.
Invoices and bills made in the book go to QuickBooks with a plan shown first and no duplicates. Parked bank lines get their categories there after your yes, and each change can be undone.
A new source is a channel and a document form. No code.
They read the same ledger you do and follow your rules. Whatever they change waits for your approval.

Connect Claude or another MCP client with a key. Ask about any number, or ask for a change: the assistant shows the exact result first and writes only after your yes.
Every book has its checklist, and the group has a board over all of them. Currency differences and settlements are calculated by the books, not typed in by hand.
Roles set access by book, by section and down to a single account. Everyone signs in with a second factor, and every action is on record.

Rules take everything they can. What is left goes to the agents, and they hand their proposals to you for approval.
Tell us about your companies and the systems they run on, and we’ll show you their books together.
